Overview As Site Construction Manager, you drive on-site delivery for METC Recapitalization at JBSA Fort Sam Houston within the Owner's Advisor team. You partner with government leaders, design-build teams, and stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant progress on a high-profile, multi-discipline project. You lead field inspection activities, manage schedules and resources, and oversee quality controls and commissioning readiness. This role offers the chance to influence a landmark military infrastructure program and advance innovative delivery methods. You will work cross-functionally to protect the government's interests and deliver critical dormitory facilities for thousands of medical students.

Responsibilities- Lead day-to-day construction management activities in METC construction areas and supervise site inspectors
- Serve as the primary field interface between Owner's Advisor, Design-Builder, installation stakeholders, and technical disciplines to ensure progress aligns with contract requirements
- Direct and coordinate site inspectors, set daily priorities, documentation, and issue escalation
- Monitor construction progress, resources, and near-term work sequencing
- Coordinate with the Design-Builder's superintendent on planned work, safety, inspections, testing, and issues
- Verify field activities against drawings, specs, submittals, RFIs, QC requirements, and work plans
- Coordinate inspection and test plans, preparatory meetings, hold/witness points, and deficiency resolution
- Monitor foundations, utilities, civil work, module installation, systems integration, and commissioning readiness
- Validate percent complete and field quantities; provide progress data to scheduler, cost analyst, and Deputy PM
- Identify delays, constructability issues, and changes; elevate risks before impacting critical paths
- Coordinate outages, access restrictions, deliveries, and installation-interface requirements
- Support punch-list, turnover inspections, commissioning, and final acceptance activities
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field
- 10+ years of construction experience
- 3+ years supervising field inspection or CM personnel
- Experience managing multidisciplinary vertical construction (civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life-safety)
- Ability to interpret drawings, specs, RFIs, submittals, schedules, and QC docs
- Ability to obtain/maintain unescorted access to JBSA Fort Sam Houston
