Overview As a Project Manager, you lead MEP/HVAC building systems initiatives across commercial, public, and institutional sectors. You'll oversee delivery from pre-construction to closeout, ensuring on-time, on-budget results while upholding safety and quality and maintaining strong client relationships. You'll coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors, manage design reviews, permitting, and commissioning, and drive value engineering. This hybrid role offers impact across diverse projects with travel.

Responsibilities- Lead all phases of project delivery for HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems (planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, coordination, commissioning, closeout)
- Act as primary client contact and manage expectations with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Develop and control project schedules and budgets; monitor progress and forecast changes
- Coordinate subcontractors and field teams, conduct site visits, ensure safety and quality
- Review MEP design documents, submittals, RFIs, and change orders; collaborate to resolve technical issues
- Manage permitting, inspections, compliance, and documentation per authorities and owner requirements
- Enforce safety programs and quality control; ensure OSHA and safety policy adherence
- Prepare project reports, meeting minutes, budgets, and progress updates for leadership and clients
- Support pre-construction activities including constructability reviews, cost estimating, bid evaluations, and proposals
- Lead commissioning and startup activities to ensure systems perform to design and owner requirements
Key requirements- Minimum 5 years of PM experience delivering MEP/HVAC or building systems projects; experience in commercial, public, institutional, and K-12 sectors preferred
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, HVAC design/installation, controls, and commissioning
- Strong PM skills: scheduling (MS Project or similar), budgeting, change management, risk mitigation
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing abilities with stakeholders and subcontractors
- Familiarity with codes, permitting, and regulatory requirements for public/institutional projects
- Certifications a plus: PMP, CCM, LEED AP, OSHA 30, HVAC licensure
- Ability to read and interpret plans and construction docs; proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Office
