Overview As Sr. IP Counsel at Danaher Diagnostics, you guide patent and trademark strategy and advise on product exclusivity and freedom-to-operate. You will work with R&D to uncover key IP opportunities and support full patent prosecution and FTO analyses. You'll monitor third-party IP activity and oversee open-source compliance and license vetting, while coordinating trademark portfolio matters. Responsibilities- Prepare and prosecute patent applications and provide FTO studies
- Conduct infringement and validity analyses and advise clients
- Monitor third-party patent activity and assess competitive IP position
- Manage open-source software component compliance, licenses, and security vetting
- Oversee trademark portfolio filing strategy, prosecution, renewals, and enforcement with outside counsel
Key requirements- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school
- Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Admission to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
- 8+ years of IP legal experience with hands-on patent prosecution
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, or related technical field
