Overview In this role you will lead sophisticated commercial litigation matters and work closely with clients in a collaborative firm. You will manage cases from start to resolution, shape litigation strategy, and provide practical guidance on risk and outcomes. You'll appear in court, arbitrate, and negotiate, while mentoring junior attorneys and helping grow client relationships. Responsibilities- Lead complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts
- Oversee cases from assessment through resolution, including discovery, motions, depositions, hearings, ADR, and trial
- Analyze issues, conduct research, and craft persuasive written advocacy
- Develop litigation strategies and advise clients on risk and outcomes
- Appear for clients in court, arbitrations, and mediations
- Resolve matters through negotiation and ADR when appropriate
- Mentor junior attorneys and collaborate with support staff
- Build trusted client relationships and support business development initiatives
Key requirements- At least 5+ years of meaningful commercial litigation experience
- Admission to the Connecticut Bar
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Strong analytical, written, and courtroom skills
- Ability to manage demanding matters independently within a collaborative team setting
