Overview In this role you will build production ML systems for large-scale business problems, primarily focused on employee experience. You will design and deploy ML solutions across domains like predictive modeling, NLP, computer vision, and recommendations, influencing strategic decisions for Amazonians globally. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate ambiguous challenges into rigorous technical outcomes and mentor newer scientists. This is a hands-on, impact-driven position that combines science and engineering to improve wellbeing and value of work at scale.

Responsibilities- Apply state-of-the-art ML techniques to defined problems in employee experience
- Design, develop, and implement ML components with guidance from senior scientists and own the code
- Write secure, maintainable production-ready code (SDE I level) to deliver solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand business impact and mentor interns
- Communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences including leadership
Key requirements- Experience building ML models or algorithms for business applications
- Experience researching machine learning, deep learning, NLP, computer vision, data science
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
