Overview In this role you will support a top Southeast law firm in handling sophisticated nationwide real estate transactions. You'll work with developers, investors, lenders, landlords, tenants, and business owners across acquisitions, developments, financing, leasing, and dispositions. You will draft, negotiate, and oversee complex documents and due diligence to drive high-value projects. Responsibilities- Represent clients in a broad range of commercial real estate transactions
- Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, easements, declarations, leases, and financing documents
- Oversee acquisitions, dispositions, developments, and financing matters from start to close
- Perform due diligence, including title and survey review
- Structure and negotiate complex deal terms while mitigating risk
- Coordinate with clients, lenders, title companies, consultants, and opposing counsel
- Advise on land use, zoning, development, and regulatory considerations
- Collaborate with cross-functional practice groups to support client objectives
Key requirements- JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record
- Active Bar admission in relevant jurisdiction, in good standing
- 3+ years of substantive commercial real estate experience in a sophisticated firm
- Experience representing clients in acquisitions, dispositions, development, financing, and leasing
- Significant drafting and negotiation of purchase and sale agreements
- Experience negotiating and reviewing loan documents for borrowers
- Familiarity with title, survey, due diligence, and closing processes
- Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
- Prior experience in a sophisticated real estate practice preferred
