Overview

As Director, HR Business Partner, you steer people strategy for a key organization, partnering across HR to drive scalable programs and leadership capabilities. You translate business goals into actionable HR execution, guiding organizational design, talent initiatives, and culture-building efforts. You'll lead change initiatives at scale and collaborate with senior leaders to attract, engage, and retain top talent. This role offers impact across the business, shaping how teams perform and adapt in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead design and delivery of the organization's HR strategy and program execution across org design, talent planning, and HR objectives
  • Drive culture of excellence and readiness for change, partnering with leaders to engage and inspire employees
  • Consult with senior leaders to enhance organizational design and effectiveness and drive engagement
  • Translate company objectives into tailored HR strategies for the organization, technical leaders, and staff
  • Lead large-scale change management efforts affecting hundreds to thousands of employees
  • Develop and implement people and workforce plans that align talent with business needs
  • Own execution of the talent management lifecycle (talent acquisition, integration, performance, rewards, engagement, retention)
  • May lead a team of HR Business Partners depending on business priorities and organization size
Key requirements
  • 8-10 years of relevant HR experience (Master's degree) or 10+ years (Bachelor's degree)
  • Willingness to work onsite at Ford Dearborn HQ four days per week
  • Proven HR business partnership with experience in organizational design, talent management, and transformation
  • Strong people leadership experience and credibility with leaders at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Data analytics, quantitative reasoning, and storytelling to inform decisions and drive outcomes
  • Collaborative, action-oriented, and able to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
