Overview

As a Traveling MEP Project Manager, you drive large-scale mechanical, electrical, and plumbing projects from start to finish. You'll lead cross-location project teams, coordinating with field leadership to uphold safety, quality, and on-time delivery. You will align execution plans with senior management, manage scope and budget, and focus on profitability and client satisfaction. This role offers multi-year assignments at major project sites while maintaining your home base. You'll shape project processes and deliver high-impact MEP solutions in a fast-growing contractor environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage large-scale MEP projects from initiation to completion
  • Lead project teams and coordinate with field leadership on safety, quality, and timeliness
  • Collaborate with senior management to align goals and execution strategies
  • Develop teams, deliver quality output, manage scope, and ensure schedule and budget adherence
  • Drive division profitability through effective project execution and cost control
  • Set technical goals, scheduling benchmarks, procurement strategies, and staffing plans
  • Improve PM systems and processes to meet client needs
  • Review contracts and MEP design/installation methodologies
  • Ensure schedules are met and adapt priorities to resource availability
  • Serve as primary client liaison throughout the project lifecycle
  • Lead project reviews with focus on financial forecasting and performance
  • Ensure high-quality engineering, coordination, and delivery of MEP systems
  • Proactively communicate challenges, risks, and successes to stakeholders
Key requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in MEP project management
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, scheduling, bids, take-offs, change orders, and contracts
  • Proven ability to build client relationships and win projects
  • Track record of managing profitable project portfolios
  • Excellent initiative, execution, and written/oral communication
