Overview

In this Manager role within Capital Markets Transactions (CMT), you oversee IPO, SPAC, and other advisory engagements, guiding accounting and reporting work. You will coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality deliverables and leverage Deloitte's technology to drive outcomes. You'll manage multiple workstreams, mentor staff, and strengthen client relationships to unlock additional engagements. You'll work across industries and financial reporting areas, helping clients prepare for public offerings and complex transactions. This role offers a chance to shape IPO readiness and execution while staying at the forefront of market trends and innovative solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee IPO/SPAC readiness and execution engagements, including planning, milestones, and delivery
  • Lead multiple workstreams with stakeholder management to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes
  • Strengthen client relationships and generate additional engagements through effective service delivery
  • Supervise, coach, and assess performance of staff; conduct reviews and training
  • Prepare financial disclosures and assist with SEC documents and reporting requirements for IPOs
  • Provide technical accounting guidance on GAAP conversions (IFRS/US GAAP) and related matters
  • Manage engagement economics, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Develop and leverage internal Deloitte contacts across businesses to support engagements
  • Advise clients on accounting and financial reporting for transactions and corporate governance
  • Stay attuned to market trends to identify innovative solutions and process improvements
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • 5+ years of public accounting or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in managing and supervising teams
  • Deep understanding of capital markets transactions (IPO, SPAC, equity/debt offerings)
  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting background
  • Proven ability to lead complex, multi-threaded projects with competing priorities
  • Strong up-to-date technical knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards
  • CPA (in office state), CFA, CRISC, PMP or other related certification
  • Ability to travel up to 50% and commute daily when required
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
