Overview In this role you drive technical leadership across the gas deposition manufacturing lifecycle, optimizing processes and enabling scale-up for new products. You will bridge Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, Engineering, and global operations to solve complex issues with data-driven methods. Your work enhances product quality, capacity, and manufacturing robustness while supporting the technology roadmap for gas deposition. You'll lead transitions from development to manufacturing and contribute to cost and productivity improvements.

Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership for gas deposition manufacturing across development, scale-up, and commercial production
- Lead investigations into production issues affecting quality, throughput, cycle time, yield, equipment performance, or product consistency
- Apply chemistry, materials science, physics, and engineering to link process parameters with product performance
- Develop deep process understanding via experimentation, modelling, and data analysis for optimization opportunities
- Utilize DOE, multivariate analysis, statistics, and advanced analytics to drive decisions
- Improve robustness and reduce variability through scientifically grounded improvements
- Lead process characterization, establish operating windows and control strategies
- Drive cycle time reduction through process optimization, equipment improvements, and automation
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, QSAT, R&D, Supply Chain, and Product Management to resolve challenges and implement lifecycle improvements
- Lead technology transfer and scale-up for new processes and products
- Evaluate emerging technologies and next-generation equipment to improve quality, productivity, automation, and cost competitiveness
- Develop business justifications for capital investments in future manufacturing capability
- Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities ensuring readiness, robustness, scalability, and commercialization
- Drive value creation in quality, delivery, capacity, cycle time, sustainability, and cost
- Communicate findings and business impacts to technical and leadership stakeholders
Key requirements- Bachelor, Master, or PhD in a related technical discipline; minimum Bachelor
- 4+ years in manufacturing science, process development, process engineering, technology transfer, or advanced manufacturing (BS); 3+ years (MS); or relevant PhD experience
- Experience with gas deposition, CVD, thin-film or coating technologies; vacuum systems; semiconductor manufacturing; surface engineering
- Strong problem-solving and data-driven decision-making capabilities
- Proven ability to lead investigations and drive cross-functional initiatives
