Overview As Masonry Estimator you will prepare accurate bids for brick, CMU, stone and concrete masonry by taking detailed quantities, pricing labor and materials, and coordinating quotes. You will support preconstruction by evaluating constructability, risk, and schedule impacts to shape proposals. You work closely with project teams to incorporate input and produce clear, professional bid packages. This role offers impact on project outcomes through data-driven estimates and value engineering where appropriate.

Responsibilities- Perform detailed takeoffs from drawings for masonry elements and develop complete estimates
- Create labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost breakdowns and maintain the cost database
- Prepare bid packages with scope write-ups, exclusions, clarifications, and assumptions
- Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and vendor quotes and maintain supplier relationships
- Assess specifications, schedules, and site conditions to identify constructability issues and cost impacts; suggest value engineering
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents and design teams during pre-bid and design phases
- Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits and client meetings to gather information and clarify scope
- Track bid results, update estimating models with actual costs, and provide post-bid analysis
- Ensure estimates comply with company procedures, contract requirements and codes; provide backup documentation
Key requirements- 5+ years of masonry estimating experience (brick, CMU, stone, concrete) with successful bid history
- Proven ability with quantity takeoffs and reading architectural/structural drawings
- Proficiency with estimating/takeoff software (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Sage Estimating, On-Screen Takeoff) and strong Excel skills
