Overview As an Accounting Intern at Textron Systems, you will support the accounting function across areas such as cost accounting, inventory, billings, intercompany, accounts payable, government reporting, payroll, and fixed assets. You will help record financial transactions, reconcile balance sheets, and assist with audits while collaborating with management and the accounting team. Responsibilities- Prepare and record financial transactions and supplemental schedules
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations with analytical techniques
- Support financial, tax, internal and government audits
- Interface with management and personnel regarding transaction status and corrective actions
- Provide general support to the Accounting team
- Work onsite 20 hours per week
Key requirements- Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or closely related field (rising Junior or Senior)
- Strong ability to analyze and interpret financial data
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel
- Effective verbal and written communication and teamwork
- Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision
- US citizen with ability to obtain a security clearance
