Overview In this role, you provide technical U.S. and international tax guidance within AIG's tax legal group, shaping tax outcomes for transactions, restructurings and regulatory matters. You will supervise advisory teams, collaborate with business partners, and act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders. You lead critical initiatives like BEAT and Pillar II, and ensure tax considerations are integrated with reporting and regulatory processes. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that combines strategy, compliance, and leadership to create value for AIG.

Responsibilities- Supervise and develop tax advisory solutions across U.S. and international transactions to optimize direct and indirect taxes
- Lead BEAT and Pillar II initiatives and coordinate related analyses
- Analyze M&A and restructuring transactions for tax-efficient structures
- Prepare and review legal memos, opinions, and presentation materials
- Coordinate with Tax Controversy Group on ongoing matters
- Manage non-U.S. advisory tax teams and oversee transfer pricing
- Oversee capital markets and investments tax planning and related document preparation
- Coordinate with Tax Reporting Group to ensure accurate tax and financial reporting
- Identify indirect tax implications and liaise with Indirect Taxes Group
- Support regulatory submissions and documentation preparation
Key requirements- 10+ years in corporate tax planning at a top law firm, Big Four, or multinational insurer
- B.S. in Accounting and advanced tax degree, or J.D./LL.M. with license to practice law
- Insurance tax experience and familiarity with multinational financial institutions
- Deep understanding of U.S. consolidated tax rules, Subchapter C, and insurance taxation
- Strong collaboration, leadership, and communication abilities
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and multi-tasking skills
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
