Overview In this role you will underwrite and issue Cyber & Technology Liability policies, building strong relationships with agents and clients. You'll assess risk, determine insurability, and contribute to pipeline and forecasts while collaborating across teams to optimize cross-sell opportunities. You will stay current on claim trends and regulatory changes, shaping underwriting positions and solutions. This role offers impact through risk-aware decision making and partnership with brokers to enable client protection and business growth.

Responsibilities- Build long-term relationships with agents, brokers, and policyholders
- Generate a pipeline of submissions aligned with department appetite
- Evaluate applications for acceptability against guidelines and determine need for additional evidence
- Participate in underwriting calls with clients and brokers to assess cybersecurity controls
- Articulate underwriting positions and provide clear rationale internally and externally
- Prepare quotes and respond to broker/policyholder inquiries; escalate issues with proposed solutions
- Provide underwriting documentation and maintain up-to-date positions
- Stay current on claim trends and regulatory changes; adjust as needed
- Provide monthly forecasts for new and renewal business and reconcile forecasts
- Monitor new business flow, quote-to-hit ratios, and variances; develop corrective strategies with agencies
- Mentor or assist other underwriters and related teams, especially on cross-sell opportunities
- Support cross-functional collaboration to optimize outcomes
Key requirements- Strong relationships with wholesale and/or retail cyber brokers
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage senior management
- Knowledge of broader MPL classes of business desirable
- Highly motivated, able to work independently or in a team
- Strong organization, prioritization, and multi-tasking abilities

- Strong analytical judgment and mathematical skills
- Effective oral and written communication; strong negotiation skills
- 2-5 years of cyber underwriting experience
- BA or BS in Economics, Business, Finance, or Accounting
