Overview In this role you will provide technical accounting expertise across a global organization, shaping guidance and financial reporting practices. You will research complex US GAAP matters, author technical memos, and implement policies that standardize how accounting is applied across business units. You will translate conclusions into practical processes, collaborates with cross-functional partners, and support strategic initiatives such as acquisitions and transformations. The role offers meaningful impact by aligning policy with evolving guidance and driving consistent adoption across the enterprise.
Responsibilities- Research, interpret and evaluate complex accounting matters under US GAAP, including emerging standards
- Author technical accounting white papers, position papers and memorandums with conclusions and analysis
- Develop, implement and communicate new accounting policies, procedures and process guidance globally
- Lead assessment and implementation of new accounting standards, evaluating implications and coordinating changes
- Serve as subject matter expert on complex accounting issues for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- Partner with global finance and accounting teams to translate conclusions into practical processes and internal controls
- Evaluate existing accounting policies to improve consistency, strengthen controls and streamline processes
- Collaborate with external auditors and internal stakeholders on complex matters and document positions
- Monitor emerging accounting guidance and regulatory developments and assess implications
- Support acquisitions, business transformations, new transactions and other strategic initiatives
