Overview

As an Antitrust & Competition Associate Attorney in our Washington, DC office, you will support a premier international AmLaw 50 firm's top practice. You will work on significant merger reviews, government investigations, antitrust litigation, and compliance counseling for multinational clients. You'll collaborate with cross functional teams to address complex competition issues across industries and help shape enforcement and policy outcomes. You will leverage premier mentorship and client exposure to advance your practice in a fast paced, high stakes environment. Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in antitrust litigation in federal and state courts
  • Assist with merger clearance reviews and related regulatory filings
  • Advise on investigations by FTC, DOJ, and state attorneys general
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex competition issues
  • Draft motions, briefs, agency submissions, whitepapers, and client memoranda
  • Support internal and government investigations involving antitrust concerns
  • Counsel clients on antitrust compliance and risk management strategies
  • Collaborate with cross practice groups to support transactions and litigation
  • Monitor developments in antitrust enforcement and competition policy
Key requirements
  • JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academics
  • Active Bar Admission in Washington, DC, in good standing
  • 3-4 years post JD Antitrust/Competition experience
  • Experience handling antitrust litigation, merger reviews, and regulatory investigations
  • Experience representing clients before FTC, DOJ, and state attorneys general preferred
  • Knowledge of merger clearance processes, cartel investigations, and enforcement actions
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and problem solving abilities
  • Exceptional writing, advocacy, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters simultaneously
  • Collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience with client and government agency interaction preferred
