Overview As BIM/VDC Coordinator, you lead model-based coordination for MEP and piping, ensuring models meet BIM standards and project requirements. You drive clash detection and coordination workflows to reduce field conflicts and support prefabrication and installation planning. You enable cross-disciplinary collaboration across design, construction, and fabrication teams, delivering integrated, 4D/5D insights where needed. You will shape BIM processes and deliverables, contributing to higher delivery quality and project efficiency. Responsibilities- Manage and evolve Revit models for MEP, piping and HVAC in line with BIM standards
- Perform clash detection and model aggregation using Navisworks; document clashes to resolution
- Develop and implement BIM/VDC processes, standards, and execution plans
- Facilitate interdisciplinary coordination meetings and produce coordination reports
- Prepare model-based deliverables for prefabrication, installation sequencing, and shop drawings; support 4D/5D simulations
- Coordinate with project managers, discipline leads, and subcontractors on LOD and BIM milestones
- Review model geometry and data quality for constructability and code compliance; resolve discrepancies
- Support automated workflows and interoperability between Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud
- Provide BIM training and act as local point of contact for coordination tasks
- Maintain documentation of coordination decisions and as-built model updates for handover
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of BIM modeling and VDC coordination on commercial/industrial projects
- Proficiency with Autodesk Revit for MEP/piping modeling and Navisworks for clash detection
- Strong understanding of piping/HVAC systems, fabrication and installation practices
- Experience with BEP, LOD criteria, and BIM standards/ISO protocols
- Familiarity with BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud or similar CDE tools
- Excellent communication and coordination skills; capable of leading interdisciplinary meetings
- Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and multi-priority management
- Autodesk certification (Revit/Navisworks) or related BIM/VDC certifications preferred
