Overview

In this role you translate customer needs into reliable electrical designs, collaborating with engineering, operations, and suppliers to meet standards across the product lifecycle. You will drive design reviews, improve manufacturability and cost, and contribute to testing, qualification, and product launches. You'll learn and apply internal and supplier manufacturing processes while shaping innovative connectivity solutions. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role at Amphenol Network Solutions with impact on next generation products.

Responsibilities
  • Independently design new components or modify existing designs
  • Collaborate in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Lead or participate in design and validation reviews to reduce errors and improve manufacturability and cost
  • Act as a key participant in development testing, engineering analysis, qualification testing, and product launches
  • Learn and implement internal and supplier manufacturing processes, components, and technologies
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain across teams
  • Produce and maintain schematics, PCB layouts, drawings, and specifications, including ECNs
  • Complete assignments within schedules and budget constraints
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related technical field
  • 5+ years in electronic and power designs
  • Working knowledge of engineering databases and document control systems
  • Proficiency in PCB layout and schematic design; strong preference for Altium Designer
  • Strong problem-solving and innovative capabilities
  • Experience with design verification testing and DFM principles
  • DC/AC power system design proficiency (strongly preferred)
  • Experience with embedded controller/processor design and C programming (desirable)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools
  • Collaborative team player
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Effective communication, including cross-functional teamwork
  • Altium Designer
  • PCB layout and schematic design
  • Design verification testing
