Work Environment
This position is based onsite in a home care setting, where you will engage directly with patients in their own environments. Our operating hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, enabling a consistent schedule that supports work-life balance. As an integral member of our orthopedic unit, you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, enhancing not only your professional growth but also contributing to a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with orthopedic conditions, utilizing various assessment tools and techniques to determine their rehabilitation needs.
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings, patient objectives, and evidence-based methodologies. Adjust these plans as needed to reflect patient progress and changes in their condition.
- Document all aspects of patient care promptly and accurately, maintaining compliance with state, local, and federal regulations while ensuring a clear narrative of the patient's treatment journey.
- Engage in discharge planning that considers ongoing needs and follow-up care to maximize patient outcomes post-therapy.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate a team-based approach to rehabilitation and ensure continuity of care.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As an Orthopedic Rehabilitation Specialist at Holistic Wellness Center, you will work primarily with patients recovering from surgical procedures, sports injuries, and other significant orthopedic issues. Our diverse clientele ranges from adolescents engaged in sports to seniors dealing with chronic pain or mobility impairments. This demographic variety necessitates a flexible, adaptable approach to treatment and a commitment to understanding each patient's unique situation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
- CPR certification is mandatory.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy or rehabilitation settings, demonstrating a solid understanding of treatment protocols.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and maintaining comprehensive patient documentation.
- A strong background in team collaboration and communication, enhancing the integration of care across disciplines.
Compensation and Benefits
The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. In addition to salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
