Maridan South Spine and Sports Medicine is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Health Therapist to join our team in an orthopedic outpatient practice located in Riverside, California. In this full-time position, you will play an essential role in empowering our patients to restore their mobility and optimize their function by delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.

Work Environment
This position is based onsite at our outpatient office in Riverside, California. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance while you contribute to improving patient outcomes. Within our facility, you will collaborate with a cohesive team of two experienced physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), fostering an environment of continuous learning and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and needs, creating individualized care plans that address their specific treatment goals.
- Manage a patient load of approximately one patient per hour, ensuring personalized attention and comprehensive care for each individual.
- Utilize manual therapy techniques and tailored exercise regimens to enhance patients' motion and mobility, focusing on their unique health needs.
- Implement cost-effective treatment approaches that reduce reliance on medications and alternative surgical procedures by offering innovative therapeutic interventions.
- Continuously assess treatment effectiveness, documenting patient progress and adjusting care plans accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation process, helping them to achieve and exceed their functional capabilities.
- Promote wellness initiatives, including fitness and lifestyle recommendations aimed at improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of healthcare professionals to deliver integrated patient care and contribute to a holistic healing environment.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all treatments and patient interactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will be on patients seeking orthopedic rehabilitation, ranging from post-operative recovery to sports injuries and chronic pain management. By employing evidence-based practices, you will not only work towards restoring physical function but also enhance their quality of life, making a tangible difference in their ongoing health journey.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
- Current certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in the state of California.
- Cleans record with no instances of board actions or disciplinary measures taken against your license.
- Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise program development.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly platforms like WebPT.
Preferred Experience
- Prior clinical experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated capacity for developing and implementing treatment strategies that yield positive patient outcomes.
- Experience collaborating in a multi-disciplinary team and integrating insights from various health professionals into patient care.
Compensation and Benefits
