Position Overview

Health Coast Behavioral Center is seeking a dedicated, Licensed Physical Health Therapist to join our dynamic team in Elk Grove, California. Work Environment

As a Licensed Physical Health Therapist, you will be working onsite in our outpatient office, engaging with patients in a highly collaborative setting. Your work schedule will typically be Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate patient needs. The workspace is designed to be welcoming and supportive, ensuring that both patients and staff feel comfortable and respected.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical health and functional capabilities, developing tailored treatment plans that incorporate various therapeutic modalities.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions that aim to improve physical function and rehabilitation outcomes, including exercises and manual therapy techniques.
  • Educate and guide patients on exercise protocols, lifestyle modifications, and self-care strategies to enhance their overall physical health.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including mental health professionals, to address the interconnected nature of physical and mental health issues.
  • Document patient progress and treatment outcomes meticulously in electronic health record (EHR) systems to track improvements and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Participate in team meetings and case consultations, contributing professionally to peer discussions, and staying informed about the latest therapeutic methodologies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve individuals experiencing a range of physical health issues, often intertwined with their mental health conditions, such as those presented with anxiety, depression, and stress-related physical ailments. We serve a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and the elderly-allowing for a dynamic and rewarding professional experience.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in California.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of therapeutic techniques and interventions, with a focus on evidence-based practices.
  • Strong assessment skills and the ability to develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and their families about treatment options.
  • Capability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all patient interactions.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience working in an outpatient setting, preferably with a focus on mental health and physical rehabilitation.
  • Experience with various therapeutic equipment and modalities related to physical therapy.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems for patient documentation.
  • Proficiency in working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
