District Sales Manager, Spine - Baltimore/Annapolis, MD

Overview

In this role you drive spine segment sales within a multidisciplinary Neuroscience portfolio, working remotely with regular travel to cover the Baltimore/Annapolis region and surrounding markets. You'll lead a district, coach teams, manage budgets, and shape strategies to hit revenue goals while upholding Medtronic quality standards. The position sits at the intersection of patient outcomes and commercial growth, offering impact across clinical and market development. You'll collaborate cross-functionally to advance neuroscience products that improve function and reduce pain.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategies to meet short- and long-term business objectives
  • Conduct field visits, meetings, and calls to drive engagement
  • Train and develop sales team in skills, product knowledge, and territory management
  • Coordinate district sales efforts and communicate mission/goals across the organization
  • Direct and motivate personnel to achieve unit and revenue targets; provide coaching and performance reviews
  • Implement corrective actions; support individual development plans (IDPs)
  • Apply customer-focused quality concepts and manage district assets (budgets and forecasts)
  • Ensure efficient inventory and expense control; negotiate price and contracts
  • Collaborate with reps and managers of other product lines to maximize team results
  • Build ethical, long-term customer relationships and represent Medtronic leadership
  • Recruit and interview to maintain a strong bench and support diversity goals
  • Provide marketing intelligence feedback to sales and marketing teams
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of relevant sales experience or Advanced degree with at least 3 years of sales and leadership experience
  • Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance
  • Spine sales experience preferred
  • Experience in sales, personnel management, and knowledge of neuroscience product/therapy customer base
