Receptionist - State Farm Agent Team Member

Job Summary:

Michael Venable State Farm is hiring a full-time Receptionist in Hopkinsville, KY. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our agency. This role is responsible for greeting visitors, managing incoming calls, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth daily office operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome visitors, clients, and employees in a warm and professional manner
• Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls
• Manage the front desk area, keeping it tidy and presentable
• Schedule and confirm appointments, maintaining calendars as needed
• Process customer payments and issue receipts accurately
• Send billing reminders and follow up on outstanding balances as needed
• Assist customers with app setup and provide basic troubleshooting support
• Scan, upload, and attach documents to customer or client files
• Receive, sort, and distribute mail and deliveries
• Provide general administrative support, including data entry, filing, and photocopying
• Order and maintain office and front-desk supplies
• Assist other departments with clerical tasks as needed
• Respond to general inquiries via phone, email, or in person

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in office administration is a plus
• Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Comfortable using scheduling software, payment processing systems, and basic apps
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Reliable and punctual

Work Environment:

• Full-time, in-office position
• Standard business hours 8:30am-5:15pm
