We are seeking a talented Head Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience with managing and leading a BOH team, has familiarity with a range of cuisine, excels in a fast paced kitchen and enjoys creative opportunities. If you have a love for creating comfortable, yet impressive moments with food, then we'd love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:

Manage scheduling for BOH staff, communicate to upper management when issues arrive
Update inventory, place orders, maintain P & L reports, keep appropriate margins
Work with owners to create items for special events, updated menu options, etc.
Supervise and delegate prep tasks/cleaning side work to other team members
Maintain and continue to improve upon all food safety procedures

Qualifications:

Minimum of 4 years previous experience preferred
Certification from culinary school preferred
NYC Food Handler's Certification
Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes
Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure
Excellent time management skills
Strong leadership skills
Bilingual Spanish & English preferred
Full Availability including weekends and holidays (closed most Mondays, Thanksgiving and Christmas)
