Responsibilities- Act as the technical authority for industrial sensing applications, guiding internal teams and partners
- Translate market and customer needs into product specs, system architectures, and development priorities
- Advise on system-level trade-offs to optimize performance, reliability, cost, and ease of integration
- Drive early customer engagement and design-in activities with engineering and technical decision-makers
- Develop and deliver application-focused training for sales, FAE, marketing, and engineering
- Represent the company as a thought leader through industry events, publications, and digital channels
- Monitor market dynamics and trends to inform business and technology strategy
- Identify differentiators and strategic opportunities in the competitive landscape
- Define value propositions and solution strategies from customer insights
- Shape mid- to long-term product and technology roadmaps aligned with market needs
- Identify portfolio and technology gaps and recommend future investments
- Collaborate with Product Management, R&D, Sales, and Marketing on strategies, roadmaps, and commercialization
- Lead advanced technology initiatives to enable differentiated products and sustainable advantage
- Advise leadership on portfolio decisions and long-term growth, championing customer-focused development
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in engineering; technical master's preferred
- 10+ years of direct experience in the industrial sensors market in a similar role
- Strong understanding of sensor technologies and system-level integration
- Experience partnering with customer engineering teams on technical solutions
- Ability to translate complex technical requirements into practical, scalable solutions
- Capability to simplify complex situations and align organizations
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Familiarity with market-driven product strategy and platform development
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
