Overview In this Radiology APP role, you will support image-guided procedures and peri-procedural care within Piedmont Macon's Radiology team. You will work with radiologists and multidisciplinary staff to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care while contributing to care coordination initiatives. The position offers a patient-centered, collaborative environment with opportunities to impact throughput and procedural excellence. Responsibilities- Perform and assist image-guided procedures (thoracentesis, paracentesis, joint injections/aspirations, lumbar punctures, fluoroscopy-based studies)
- Conduct pre- and post-procedure assessments and educate patients/families on procedures and recovery
- Collaborate with radiologists, nursing staff, and referring providers; maintain accurate medical records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team meetings
- Assist with triage and prioritization to improve department throughput; support inpatient/outpatient IR consults
- Support discharge planning and post-procedure care pathways; ensure timely follow-up and continuity of care
Key requirements- Current licensure as FNP, NP, or PA in Georgia
- Certification by AANP/ANCC/NCCPA or equivalent
- Prior radiology or interventional experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and procedural competence
