Overview In this R&D-led role, you will design and execute bench-scale experiments and wet chemistry formulations to advance product development. You'll work in the Lincolnshire, IL lab, evaluating materials and operating advanced analytical equipment to generate actionable insights. You will communicate findings to stakeholders and support invention and patent efforts. This position blends hands-on experimentation with data-driven decisions in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment.

Responsibilities- Design, prepare, and execute bench-scale experiments and material trials to prove feasibility and accelerate development
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain advanced analytical laboratory instrumentation
- Evaluate physical, chemical, electronic, and functional properties of materials through lab analyses
- Analyze data, document results, and present actionable insights to stakeholders
- Support experimental design, trials, testing, and characterization for project needs
- Contribute to invention disclosures and patent-related work
- Maintain an organized, safe workspace and suggest equipment needs for job execution
- Collaborate with BU stakeholders to drive business improvements and growth
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Material Science/Chemical Engineering/Chemistry with 5+ years of experience or Master's degree with no experience
- Experience operating, calibrating, and maintaining advanced analytical lab instrumentation
