Overview

In this role you will help scale and validate the Amazon Leo satellite bus through hands-on system development, testing, and integration. You will collaborate across disciplines to optimize for high-volume production and ensure cross-functional requirements are met. You'll drive test strategy, tooling, and documentation to minimize risk and validate performance at scale. This position offers the chance to shape hardware/software architectures and testing flows for a global broadband system.

Responsibilities
  • Lead software/hardware integration testing
  • Lead architectures and flows for multiple manufacturing test lines
  • Lead data analysis using MATLAB, Python, or similar tools
  • Support release of software and hardware system documents through gate reviews
  • Investigate and troubleshoot yield issues during prototype and production builds
  • Write status/build reports for cross-functional review
  • Drive and prioritize system test campaigns
  • Design and develop software/scripting test setups and hardware for subsystem validation
  • Analyze cross-functional design tradeoffs affecting performance, schedule, cost, risk, complexity, and scale
  • Coordinate test strategy and requirements with the hardware development team
  • Provide design-for-testability feedback during design process
  • Support production and integration efforts for hardware subsystems
  • Define test strategy and optimize test setups at the CM including fixtures, equipment, and software
  • Develop procedures, preventive maintenance plans, and troubleshooting guides for production
  • Communicate system integration and evaluation strategies for program learning, risk reduction, verification, and validation
Key requirements
  • Experience leading design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure
  • Programming experience in Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
  • Experience with Linux/Unix
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
  • Export Control Requirement: U.S. citizen/national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status
