Overview In this role you support radiology operations within Cooper Plaza, contributing to patient care and safety. You perform a range of radiology procedures, keep licensure current, and uphold department compliance and infection control standards. You engage with patients and coworkers to ensure courteous service and smooth patient flow, including participation in the Radiology Ambassador team to optimize throughput. Your work helps sustain high-quality imaging services in a major academic health system.
Responsibilities- Adhere to departmental procedures and safety requirements (life safety, fire, hazardous waste, Radiation Safety, Infection Control)
- Maintain licensure and participate in ongoing departmental training
- Perform procedures across Portables, ER, Trauma, Fluoro OR and General as needed
- Provide courteous, patient-centered service and professional communication
- Keep work area organized; report equipment maintenance issues and manage supplies and paperwork
- Assist with patient flow/care and support throughput through Radiology Ambassador team
- Maintain accurate timekeeping and attend staff meetings ( 80%)
- Demonstrate compliance with timekeeping rules and participate in initiatives
Key requirements- Patient care and safe handling training
- General, Portable, ED, Trauma, Fluoro, pediatrics experience preferred
- Graduate of AMA approved Radiology Technologist Program (registry eligible)
- NJ DEP license required upon hire
- ARRT certification and current BLS
