Overview In this role you help structure and underwrite asset-based lending facilities for NDFI clients, partnering with a lending team to deliver customized credit solutions. You assess collateral, monitor credit risk, and guide loan documentation and closing. You will prepare underwriting materials, analyze borrower performance, and ensure covenant compliance, while advising clients on market trends. You contribute to risk management and operational delivery in a fast-paced, client-focused banking environment. Responsibilities- Support lending unit on borrowing-based lines of credit (warehouse, private credit, and other NDFI facilities)
- Structure, due-diligence, underwriting, legal documentation, and closing of complex collateral-based loans
- Review field exam results, identify collateral/credit risks, and recommend mitigants
- Prepare loan packages and underwriting memos for approval
- Manage loan documentation, borrowing-base calculations, loan closings, and onboarding of new customers
- Analyze and document borrowers' financial performance and collateral condition; ensure covenants compliance
- Handle troubled loans and workouts if necessary
- Provide client advisory on business trends, capital markets, and banking conditions
- Perform financial projection modeling and monitor performance of independent contractors' output
Key requirements- 1-8+ years in asset-based lending or related NDFI facilities (note-on-note, warehouse, fund finance, lender finance, field exam, workouts, etc.)
- Experience with private credit asset classes and financing structures for specialty finance, receivables, or consumer/commercial sectors
- Ability to set advance rates, eligibility criteria, and review borrowing-base certificates
- Strong accounting/finance knowledge and financial modeling ability
- Understanding of commercial loan structures, covenants, and standard documentation
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication; solid interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and financial modeling software
