Overview As a Financial Analyst, you will translate financial data into actionable insights to support provider planning, clinic growth, and financial performance across physician practices. You'll work with cross-functional teams to explain variances and drive decisions that improve patient care and operational efficiency. You'll develop forecasts, build models for growth initiatives, and analyze productivity metrics to guide leadership. Responsibilities- Analyze financial performance across physician practices and identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Evaluate budget-to-actual performance and drivers such as provider productivity, patient volume, reimbursement, staffing, and operating decisions
- Review revenue, contractual deductions, operating expenses, labor costs, and EBITDA
- Support month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Develop forecasts and assess financial impact of operational decisions
- Build financial models for provider recruitment, new positions, clinic growth, and capital investments
- Analyze provider productivity metrics, including wRVUs and compensation models
- Translate large data sets into clear reports for leaders and recommendations
- Investigate unusual results and communicate findings
- Partner with finance and operations to support performance and initiatives
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with healthcare regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements- Bachelor in Accounting or Finance
- At least two years of relevant accounting, finance, or financial analysis experience
- Strong financial analysis skills to interpret results and explain drivers
- Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, month-end closing, and financial reporting
- High proficiency in Excel and financial reporting/analytics tools
- Ability to understand or learn physician productivity metrics and compensation models
- Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving
- Effective communication to explain financial information to operational leaders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently toward operational goals
