Overview In this role you drive the coordination and delivery of MEP systems on commercial construction projects. You will work closely with owners, architects, and subcontractors to ensure constructability, codes compliance, and on-time installation. You'll manage shop drawings, scheduling, and occupancy-related tasks while upholding safety and quality. Responsibilities- Lead MEP coordination and space management to prevent space conflicts
- Review subcontractor submittals and shop drawings for completeness and alignment with plans
- Ensure compliance with building codes and manage inspectors relations
- Coordinate with owners, architects, and subcontractors in meetings; outline work and scheduling
- Manage certificate of occupancy processes and high-level lifecycle of life safety systems
- Oversee on-time delivery of equipment and QA/QC of mechanical, electrical, and fire protection installations
- Review proposed changes for cost and schedule impact; resolve technical issues with architects
- Coordinate MEP scope across teams using overlays and CAD systems
- Review pay applications and ensure timely payments to subcontractors
- Liaise among owners, general contractors, and disciplines to maintain project alignment
Key requirements- B.S. in construction management/science, engineering, or related field
- 5-8 years of comparable MEP experience with GC or mechanical contractor
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training (can be obtained within first year)
- Proficient in project management software
- Proficient with cost projection, scheduling, financial analysis, budget reviews and labor reports
- Ability to build and manage high performing teams
- Legal authorization to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship
