Overview In this Associate Attorney role, you will handle insurance defense matters from inception to resolution while addressing a broad range of civil disputes. You will work within a multi-office firm to develop cases, advocate for clients, and prepare for trial, courtroom hearings, and other proceedings. You will collaborate with clients, witnesses, and experts to build persuasive strategies and deliver strong written and oral advocacy. This is a hands-on position with meaningful responsibility in case development, risk evaluation, and stakeholder communication. Responsibilities- Manage insurance defense litigation from intake to resolution
- Prepare motions, briefs, pleadings, and legal filings with attention to detail
- Conduct written discovery and develop strategies from factual and legal analysis
- Take and defend depositions in coordination with clients, witnesses, and experts
- Handle personal injury, construction disputes, business conflicts, premises liability, negligence, transportation claims, product liability, and real estate litigation
- Appear in court for hearings and conferences
- Support trial preparation, including evidence organization and case themes
- Communicate case status, risk, and next steps to clients and internal stakeholders
Key requirements- Licensed attorney in California
- Hands-on experience managing insurance defense matters
- Experience across a broad range of civil disputes
