Overview In this role you will provide principal engineering and technical support for nuclear and environmental programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. You will guide planning, design, and operation improvements across facilities, with a focus on risk management, engineering, and training solutions for a complex client base. The position offers impact through technical leadership on safety-critical systems and program support in a high-hazard environment. This is a contract on-site opportunity with ProSidian engaging SRMC and DOE-related programs.

Responsibilities- Lead engineering activities across pre-conceptual design, construction, and start-up of facilities
- Develop engineering specifications and designs for process, instrumentation, and equipment
- Plan and implement design changes; maintain testing equipment inventory
- Evaluate equipment and procedures for performance improvements
- Oversee installation and modifications of major equipment; support calibration and operations
- Develop operating procedures and training programs for technicians
- Participate in committees to standardize equipment, processes, and training
- Provide technical support to operations and maintenance staff and mentor junior specialists
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical discipline with 6+ years of related experience OR
- Bachelor's degree in a non-technical discipline with 7+ years of related experience OR
- Associate's degree with 9+ years of related experience OR
- High school diploma with 11+ years of related experience
