Overview In this role, you support federal investigations by researching open sources and synthesizing publicly available data to illuminate networks and leads. You will produce defensible intelligence products and collaborate with investigators to deliver timely analysis. The position sits within Deloitte's GPS forensics offering, leveraging data, AI, and technology to transform complex information into actionable guidance. You will operate in a fast-paced environment, maintain compliance, and lead or coordinate workstreams to impact investigations and risk decisions.
Responsibilities- Conduct open-source and public-record research to identify actors, networks, and digital traces
- Analyze and synthesize information from diverse sources to build timelines and entity profiles
- Produce intelligence notes, reports, and briefing materials for investigators
- Correlate data to reveal relationships and patterns; create link charts and timelines
- Validate sources and document analytical confidence; maintain compliance with legal/privacy requirements
- Support rapid-turn analysis and ad hoc research for investigations
- Lead project workstreams and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of open-source research or investigations experience with analytical output
- Ability to travel 5-10%
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance
