Sr Manager Quality Assurance

Overview

As Sr. Manager Quality Assurance, you will design and drive Crown Castle's Quality Management System, leading QA engineers to ensure alignment with Crown standards and industry norms. You will oversee QA programs across structural tower construction, inspections, and procedures, uncovering root causes and guiding improvement with stakeholders. Your role includes training design for internal staff and vendors, and shaping vendor qualification and safety standards. You will lead cross-functional efforts to elevate quality, compliance, and operational efficiency within Assets and Operations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the QA team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
  • Interpret engineering drawings to verify conformance to Crown quality requirements
  • Develop and maintain Quality Assurance Management System for operations, construction, and safety
  • Establish statistical analyses to identify critical quality areas
  • Document and present inspection results to leadership levels
  • Schedule and lead QA meetings with stakeholders to address non-conformances
  • Conduct field and desktop audits of construction, inspections, and work products
  • Assist or lead the development of standards, processes, and procedures for Assets and Operations
  • Deliver training to improve process execution and quality
  • Monitor QA system effectiveness and suggest enhancements to standards and procedures
Key requirements
  • Eight (8)+ years of construction and/or maintenance experience, preferably in telecommunications
  • Three (3)+ years experience leading a team of technical experts
  • Specific knowledge of structural and civil construction standards, processes, and materials
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Coaching and motivating others
  • Ability to lead cross-functional and inter-departmental teams
  • Quality assurance programs and ISO 9000 family experience
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of drafting practices and CAD
