Overview In this role you will be the first point of contact for prospective clients, assessing potential claims and guiding them through the intake process. You will align with the firm's litigation focus by evaluating case viability, coordinating with attorneys, and onboarding qualified matters. You'll engage with clients empathetically, explain processes, and build trust during challenging circumstances. This position supports business development and strong client service in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
Responsibilities- Conduct initial consultations with prospective clients via phone, video conference, and in-person meetings
- Evaluate potential claims and determine legal viability based on laws, facts, and strategy
- Gather and review documents (medical records, contracts, correspondence, evidence)
- Identify legal issues, potential causes of action, damages, and litigation risks
- Prepare detailed intake summaries and recommendations for case acceptance
- Collaborate with litigation attorneys and practice group leaders on case evaluation and selection
- Explain legal processes, timelines, and expectations to prospective clients
- Maintain accurate records within the firm's case management system
- Ensure timely follow-up with prospective clients and referral sources
- Assist with conflict checks and engagement documentation
- Develop relationships with referral partners, medical providers, and community organizations
- Support business development and client service initiatives
