Overview In this role, you will lead core accounting operations and provide reliable financial insight to support business decisions. You will oversee the monthly and period-end close, financial reporting, and cash management while ensuring compliance and strong controls. You'll partner on system enhancements and improve workflows to drive efficiency. This onsite Knoxville position offers a chance to shape processes and deliver actionable financial guidance aligned with the company's goals.
Responsibilities- Direct the monthly and period-end close process with timely, accurate journal entries
- Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and P&L analysis to inform decisions
- Monitor cash position, create short- and long-range forecasts, and assess liquidity trends
- Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Oversee lease accounting and ensure compliance with standards and internal policies
- Oversee sales and use tax filings for multiple jurisdictions
- Support financial consolidation across entities or units
- Improve accounting workflows, documentation, and SOPs to enhance efficiency and control
- Partner on finance system enhancements and implementation (Sage Intacct, Flowcast)
- Utilize Excel and reporting tools to analyze data, identify variances, and provide actionable recommendations
Key requirements- Bachelor in Accounting or Finance
- CPA is preferred
