Project Commercial Contracts Manager (remote with travel, renewables construction)

Overview

In this role you drive contract administration for EPC projects in a renewable energy portfolio, ensuring compliance and timely delivery. You work with project leadership, commercial, and legal teams to monitor terms, manage change orders, and coordinate notices. The position blends pre-construction input with execution oversight, supporting on-site leadership and risk management to keep projects on time and within budget. The role offers remote work with up to 50% travel to sites and a meaningful impact on project outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Administer project contracts and draft notices per contract requirements (force majeure, delays, etc.)
  • Lead contract terms review post-award and pre-mobilization
  • Draft notices to subcontractors/suppliers regarding performance and execution
  • Participate in regular project team meetings and engage proactively with the team
  • Advise on contractual change requirements and track changes/claims through resolution
  • Support insurance claim administration and documentation with Project Manager/insurance team
  • Assist closeout to ensure all contract requirements, certificates, and warranties are met
  • Capture lessons learned and report during Close Out Phase Gate
Key requirements
  • 5+ years in construction contract management on large projects ($30MM-$150MM)
  • 3+ years using construction management software
  • Strong knowledge of contract requirements, change orders, claims analysis and negotiations
  • Experience with Viewpoint, Procore, and Project Controls software
  • Subject-matter expert in contract management principles and techniques
  • Understanding of warranties, limits of liability, risk of loss, schedule milestones/LDs, force majeure, and change orders
  • Ability to interpret complex contractual provisions
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
