Overview In this role you support the client Project Manager to plan, regulate, and deliver transportation projects in Riverside, coordinating environmental and design contracts and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will align consultant work with scope, schedule, and budget while maintaining rigorous documentation and facilitating cross functional communication. The role offers exposure to Caltrans and other agencies, shaping complex projects from planning through post construction. You'll work in a client facing environment focused on delivering safe, compliant, and timely project outcomes.

Responsibilities- Administer and coordinate professional services contracts across planning, environmental clearance, design, construction, and post-construction phases
- Develop and manage scopes of work, task orders, procurement materials, amendments, change orders, invoices, and closeout records
- Monitor consultant performance against scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables; review reports and submittals for quality and compliance
- Coordinate multidisciplinary reviews and ensure responses and commitments are addressed before client acceptance
- Maintain contract files, logs, approvals, and agency submittals for audit readiness
- Coordinate environmental documentation, permit applications, and regulatory reviews (CEQA, NEPA) and track commitments and mitigations
- Coordinate design and construction activities with consultants, manage design clarifications, RFIs, submittals, and environmental/permitting obligations
- Track schedules, budgets, risks, reporting, and stakeholder coordination; prepare client-ready materials and attend meetings with agencies and stakeholders
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Construction Management, Engineering
- 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
- Experience coordinating or administering professional services contracts and reviewing consultant work products
- Experience coordinating comments across disciplines and stakeholders
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to develop/maintain project schedules; Microsoft Project beneficial
