Overview In this role you will drive defect minimization for a segment of the manufacturing line by enabling advanced defect metrology and data-driven insights. You'll partner with process engineers to improve tool and process capability, leading continuous improvement projects and cross-functional problem solving. The position supports Intel Foundry's inline metrology initiative to shift to real-time data for yield learning. You will influence factory resources and contribute to high-performance maintenance and safety goals in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities- Perform detailed data analysis with statistical/data mining tools to identify root causes of defects
- Identify exclusionary or baseline defect sources and propose corrective actions
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects for defect performance
- Provide expertise on process flow segments and control defect analysis across areas
- Lead or participate in multi-area problem solving teams to reduce defects
- Support manufacturing technicians and coordinate with on-site vendor field service engineers
- Contribute to a high-performing team culture with strong teamwork and leadership
Key requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or Master's degree
- 2+ years in semiconductor fabrication and processing (e.g., Lithography, Etch, CMP, Thin Films, Plating) or equivalent
- Experience with SPC, DOE, and statistical data analysis
- Experience in manufacturing environment and metrology
- Strong problem solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration
