Overview As part of the Houston Energy Group, you support advisory, execution and financings for oil & gas clients. You'll work on a cross functional deal team, delivering rigorous financial analysis and strategic recommendations. You help shape M&A, capital raises and financing solutions across upstream, midstream and downstream segments. The role combines quantitative modeling with client facing materials, contributing to complex transactions and long term client relationships. This is an opportunity to impact high profile energy advisory work within a global financial services firm.
Responsibilities- Conduct extensive quantitative research and industry/company analysis
- Model a broad range of corporate finance scenarios and support due diligence for client transactions
- Evaluate risk/return profiles of financing options
- Perform financial modeling, valuation, and market analyses
- Coordinate idea generation and solution development across global capabilities
- Draft pitches and marketing materials for M&A, financing, and capital markets
- Assist in financing structuring, underwriting, due diligence and deal execution
- Support development and cultivation of client relationships
Key requirements- Bachelor in Finance
- At least one year of prior investment banking or similar experience in the oil & gas industry
- Knowledge of corporate finance, securities, markets and risk/pricing analysis
- Experience in the Energy sector
- Ability to synthesize information and generate innovative ideas
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creativity, intellectual curiosity
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Advanced proficiency with FactSet, CapitalIQ, Bloomberg, Microsoft Office
