Overview In this role you will oversee NAV preparation and client reporting for real estate and private equity funds, providing technical guidance and ensuring GAAP/IFRS compliance. You will manage cross-functional delivery across domestic and international teams, coordinate audits, and implement new fund structures in accounting systems. The role combines technical ownership with people leadership and direct client engagement. You will coach staff to maintain high accounting standards while driving process improvements and timely reporting. This is a client-facing leadership position at a established fund administrator, offering impact across models and jurisdictions.
Responsibilities- Oversee preparation and review of NAV packages and client reporting
- Provide technical accounting guidance to clients and internal teams
- Review financial statements and disclosures per GAAP and IFRS
- Coordinate accounting, operations, tax and investor services to deliver client requirements
- Manage external audits and resolve accounting queries
- Translate fund terms into accounting/reporting requirements from fund documentation
- Lead implementation of new fund structures within accounting systems
- Coach and develop staff to maintain consistent standards across teams
- Review real estate accounting and operations processes for improvements
- Support additional client reporting and projects as required
Key requirements- At least seven years in real estate and/or private equity, including five years in public or private accounting
- Strong knowledge of real estate and private equity fund accounting
- Experience applying GAAP and IFRS, reviewing complete financial statements
- Understanding of fair value reporting for real estate investments and debt obligations
- Knowledge of multifamily and commercial real estate accounting
- Proven supervisory experience with coaching and development
- Strong client communication, project management and organizational skills
- Experience with Yardi, MRI or Investran
