Overview In this role you drive planning, design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges and highways. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, oversee budgets and schedules, and ensure safety, quality and client satisfaction. You combine strong construction management with civil engineering expertise to manage projects from pre-construction through closeout. Responsibilities- Lead multiple civil construction projects from pre-construction through commissioning and closeout
- Develop and maintain schedules, budgets, cash flows and forecasts; manage cost control and change orders
- Supervise project teams, consultants and subcontractors; set priorities and monitor performance
- Serve as primary client liaison; communicate project status, risks and deliverables
- Oversee contract administration, procurement, bidding support and supplier/subcontractor negotiations
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality and safety and resolve issues
- Enforce health, safety and environmental procedures and regulatory standards
- Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings and quality control documents
- Identify, assess and mitigate risks; prepare contingency plans and resolve disputes or claims
- Prepare project reports, meeting minutes and documentation for progress reporting, invoicing and closeout
- Mentor and develop project engineers and site staff; promote a collaborative, safety-first culture
Key requirements- Bachelor in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years experience managing civil construction or transportation infrastructure projects
- Experience with large-scale civil works including contract administration, cost control and schedule management
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical, structural and pavement engineering for highways and bridges
- Professional certification such as PMP and/or PE license preferred or ability to obtain
- Proficiency with MS Project, Primavera P6; familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D or similar tools
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Working knowledge of local, state and federal transportation standards, regulations and permitting processes
- Experience with health and safety management systems and certifications (e.g., OSHA 30)
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites on-site as needed
