Overview In this role you support Expeditors' global Legal Department in real estate and procurement matters. You advise internal clients, draft and negotiate complex agreements, and help manage litigation and strategic legal initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across time zones and interact with landlords, vendors, and service providers. Responsibilities- Handle real estate leasing, amendments, estoppels, and construction build-outs
- Lead or support commercial procurement and capital project contracting
- Provide clear, business-centric legal guidance to internal clients
- Partner cross-functionally with legal, procurement, and operations teams worldwide
- Assist with outside counsel management as part of the Legal Department's strategic initiatives
Key requirements- JD and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 5+ years of legal practice with deep experience in commercial real estate
- Prior in-house experience preferred; law firm experience welcomed
- Excellent judgment and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Industry experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation is a plus
