Overview As Lead Project Manager, you will oversee end-to-end development of generation projects, from land acquisition to construction, ensuring regulatory compliance and financial viability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to drive timely, cost-effective outcomes that support NextEra Energy's energy solutions. The role combines negotiation, regulatory understanding, and hands-on project leadership to deliver impactful infrastructure. You will shape projects in a dynamic, community-focused environment and act as the liaison among customers, agencies, and partners. This is a leadership role with a clear impact on project success and community outcomes.
Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day transaction processes for timely, cost-effective results
- Lead financial feasibility, engineering/design, legal review, permitting, and financial negotiations
- Coordinate due diligence with internal groups for proper project analysis and structuring
- Liaise with internal and external specialists on procurement, contracting, permitting, and interconnection
- Draft contractual arrangements for project development
- Negotiate agreements with consultants and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with technical and regulatory requirements
- Foster external relationships with customers, third parties, and community members
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements- High School Grad/GED
