Overview

As Corporate Accountant, you will oversee close processes and consolidated GAAP reporting for a multi-entity real estate group. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial statements and support audits. This role offers exposure to corporate-level reporting and a chance to influence controls and process improvements in a sophisticated environment. You will be integral to budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis, contributing to data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities
  • Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for corporate and underlying entities
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements, reporting packages, dashboards, and analytics
  • Review general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and proper accounting treatment
  • Audit support: prepare schedules and respond to auditor requests
  • Support annual audit processes and maintain audit readiness and control environments
  • Analyze financial results and provide budget-to-actual variance analysis
  • Assist with annual budgeting and periodic reforecasting
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Collaborate with Finance, Asset Management and other teams to resolve discrepancies
  • Support consolidation across multiple entities and ownership structures
  • Contribute to special projects and ad hoc initiatives
Key requirements
  • 3-7 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience with financial statement preparation, consolidations, and audit support
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in real estate, investment management, or private equity environments (preferred)
  • Exposure to partnership accounting or tax preparation (preferred)
  • CPA designation (or in progress) (preferred)
  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with accounting systems (Yardi or similar preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
