Overview As a Construction Superintendent, you will lead on-site construction activities to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget. You will coordinate subcontractors and trades, manage schedules, and ensure quality workmanship across residential, commercial, or industrial builds. You'll enforce safety standards, review plans, and collaborate with PM, estimating and field teams to maintain project health. Responsibilities- Direct and supervise on-site construction activities to align with plans, specs and quality
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors and craft labor to maintain workflow and meet milestones
- Enforce site safety policies and OSHA-compliant procedures; lead safety meetings and inspections
- Develop and monitor project schedules using MS Project, Primavera P6 or equivalent; report progress
- Review blueprints, plans and shop drawings to guide field work and resolve constructability issues
- Manage material procurement, logistics and deliveries for timely availability
- Prepare and process RFIs, submittals, change orders and punchlists; coordinate approvals
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks; document non-conforming work and oversee corrective actions
- Collaborate with PM and estimating on budgeting, cost control and forecasting
- Plan heavy equipment, crane rigging and lifting operations with certified plans
- Coordinate MEP, HVAC, plumbing and electrical with trades and BIM/AutoCAD coordination
- Oversee concrete formwork, placement, structural framing and steel erection; ensure tolerances
- Manage permitting, inspections and contract administration with authorities
- Mentor field personnel and subcontractor foremen to promote productivity and teamwork
Key requirements- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar for mid- to large-scale projects
- Strong background in construction management, site supervision and subcontractor management
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, structural framing, concrete formwork, steel erection and general trades
- Proficiency in MS Project and Primavera P6; budget and schedule management
- Experience with RFIs, change orders, punchlists and closeout; contract admin familiarity
- Working knowledge of MEP coordination, BIM coordination (Revit) and AutoCAD; BIM/Coordination experience a plus
- Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam and Excel for reporting
- Solid OSHA compliance and site safety management understanding; permit/inspection processes
- Ability to plan lifting operations and coordinate with heavy equipment
- Excellent communication and leadership; able to work with diverse teams
- Valid drivers license; preferred OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, NCCER or equivalent
- Bachelors in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field preferred but not required
