Overview In this role, you will advance world-class materials for 3D printing, from lab-scale exploration to commercialization. You'll collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure material compatibility and reliability on our printers. You will design rigorous experiments to drive material performance improvements and partner with cross-functional teams to continuously enhance our offerings. This is a hands-on, fast-moving role at the intersection of science and manufacturing, offering the chance to shape next generation materials for diverse industries.

Responsibilities- Conduct research and develop materials for 3D printing from lab exploration to validation and commercialization
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to ensure materials print reliably on our equipment
- Design and perform experiments, using results to inform material performance improvements
- Partner with product management, hardware, and software engineers to continuously improve our materials
Key requirements- Solid understanding of materials science and polymer development
- B.S., M.S., or PhD in a relevant science or engineering field
- Passionate about testing and troubleshooting, with willingness to perform repeated experiments
- Ability to harness data and design rigorous experiments to optimize materials
- Autonomous and proactive in learning new skills to achieve objectives
- Value good documentation and clear communication
- Willingness to collaborate with a diverse team of scientists and engineers
