Overview As a Morning Anchor at FOX6, you will drive unscripted, high-energy local journalism from a streaming-first perspective. You'll shape early-morning coverage, source original stories, and report live across TV and digital platforms while co-anchoring late-morning hours. You lead with curiosity and accountability, fostering a collaborative newsroom culture. This role offers a high-impact opportunity to redefine how local news engages audiences during fast-moving, real-time events.

Responsibilities- Lead morning coverage across on-air, digital and streaming platforms with unscripted, dynamic reporting
- Pitch, research, and create original story content during the morning shift and integrate it into live coverage
- Report live without a teleprompter, serving as an informed authority on local, regional, and national stories
- Conduct extended Q&As with field reporters and guests to add context to live stories
- Collaborate with producers, photojournalists, reporters, and digital team members to sustain a continuous stream of morning content
- Guide viewers through live, breaking news with clear, authoritative storytelling
Key requirements- Minimum of five years on-camera journalism experience
- Anchoring and/or streaming experience preferred
- Proven ability to lead with curiosity and accountability and give/receive feedback
- Ability to anchor and ad-lib in an unscripted format
- Strong news judgement and enterprise story creation
- High comfort level with digital platforms, streaming tech, and social media for gathering news and engagement
- Journalism degree or related field preferred
- Must be a genuine early riser for a 2:30 a.m. start
